Adox Research Citation Policy

Adox Research Citation Policy
​

All syndicated and custom research created by Adox Research, is intended to be used by our clients for internal business purposes only. Any use of Adox Research research and analyst quotes with a non-client audience must be approved by Adox Research.

To request approval to cite Adox Research content or quote an analyst:
  • Contact your Adox Research Client Director or send an email to support@adoxresearch.com
  • Please provide the following information and attachments:
    • The quote or content you wish to use placed in the material where it will appear
    • The original source of the quote/citation with the excerpted content highlighted
    • A description of the audience, communication objective and venue
    • The date(s) of use
  • We will reply by email within three-to-five business days.
Client/Member Privileges:
  • Clients/Members do not require approval to use Adox Research research when the audience consists of only fellow employees of the client/member company. Fair uses in such cases can include a copy or slide of scorecards, product comparison(s), spreadsheet, graphic, table, or portion of text less than a paragraph from the research, provided that all such citations adhere to the guidelines below.
Policies:
  • All research produced by Adox Research, including content accessed through Adox Research member websites, is proprietary to Adox Research and subject to copyright and other intellectual property protections.
  • All external or commercial citation of Adox Research custom and syndicated content and analyst quotes is prohibited without Adox Research’s express written permission. Such uses include, but are not limited to advertisements, press releases, and sales collateral in all types of media; SEC filings or other legal documents; links to any websites maintained by Adox Research.
  • Permission must be requested to use or reproduce the Adox Research logo, trademarks or service marks in all types of media.
  • All citations must be limited in scope and presented verbatim.
  • While it may be requested, Adox Research generally prohibits full reproductions and/or distributions of Adox Research content unless reprints are purchased from Adox Research. 
  • Adox Research will not approve requests for Adox Research analysts to endorse a client product or service.
  • Adox Research will not approve requests that use Adox Research content to compare companies, products or services.
  • Adox Research will not approve requests to link to Adox Research videos and webinars that mention specific companies and/or products.
  • Adox Research will not approve requests to cite, quote or excerpt from Adox Research videos and webinars that mention specific companies and/or products.
  • The Adox Research name or the names of its analysts may not be used
    • In email subject lines, press release headers, and/or subheads. The phrase, "Independent Research Group" may be used.
Guidelines:
  • In general, if you are uncertain of proper citation for a particular use, please seek approval.
  • All citations of Adox Research research must be attributed in the following manner:
    • Adox Research, Title of Study, Adox Research, Year of Publication, Page Number(s) [if applicable].
In Advertisements:
  • All citations must comply with the Policies.
  • Advertisements shall not appear to be co-sponsored by Adox Research or Adox Research.
  • Services or products advertised shall not appear to be endorsed by Adox Research or Adox Research.
  • All requests must include the location and placement of the advertisement.
In Press Releases:
  • All citations must comply with the Policies.
  • Adox Research may not be referenced or appear in any client, member or vendor boilerplates.
In Video/Multimedia:
  • All citations must comply with the Policies.
  • Citations, quotes and excerpts from Adox Research videos and webinars that mention specific companies and/or products are prohibited.
In Webinar/Speaking Engagements:
  • All citations must comply with the Policy Regulations.
  • Co-sponsors may use the Adox Research name to promote webinars.
  • Citations, quotes and excerpts from Adox Research videos and webinars that mention specific companies and/or products are prohibited.
  • It must be clear that a Adox Research analyst is a guest/featured speaker/presenter and the event is not being co-hosted or co-marketed in any way.
Additional Policies Related to 8x8 vendor assessment surveys and research :
  • All Adox Research citations must comply with the Policies.
  • Adox Research 8x8 vendor assessment research is a qualitative evaluation of a set of vendors in a specific market; it is NOT a stack ranking.
  • Adox Research will not approve requests to use Adox Research Technology Assessment research to endorse the position of one vendor over another or to negatively endorse a competitor's position.
  • Components of technology analysis reprints relevant to a firm’s individual solution may not be published in isolation for mass market consumption.
  • Vendors with products that have been deemed “Differentiated” for one or more categories within an assessment  may issue a press release and/or include their classification in collateral materials pending they adhere to the following guidelines:
 Press Release Development:
  • Vendors that issue a press release based on a Adox Research 8x8 Survey must include the following standard disclosure verbatim and in its entirety:

​Adox Research does not endorse any vendor, product or service depicted in our Adox Research publications and does not advise technology users to select vendors included in its research. Adox Research research publications consist of the opinions of Adox Research’s analysts and should not be construed as statements of fact. Adox Research disclaims all warranties, expressed or implied, with respect to this research, including any warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
  • Vendors May:
    • Include the name of the 8x8 survey and the “Differentiated” category in a headline as follows:
      • Example:  XCORP Named Reconiliation Systems “Differentiated” for Usability
    • Include the Adox Research name in subheads as follows:
      • Example:  Adox Research 8x8 Assessment Ranked Providers on Critical Product Attributes
  • Vendors May NOT:​
    • Use the Adox Research or Adox Research name in a press release headline.
    • Promote their numeric product ranking in either a headline or a subhead.
    • Use retrospective wording, for example, "fifth consecutive year" or "again."
    • Use comparative wording, for example, "only," "highest" or "sole.
Report Text & Images:
  • Vendors May:
    • Excerpt the “Adox Research View” and/or category definitions from the 8x8 survey  only if it is used verbatim and in its entirety
  • Vendors May NOT:
    • Excerpt or use the Adox Research 8x8 survey graphics in any form factor.
    • Directly compare their numeric score or position with those of other vendors or product.
Changes
Adox Research reserves the right to change these guidelines at any time, without notice. These guidelines are for general informational purposes only and Adox Research reserves any and all rights to the Adox Research research including but not limited to the right to deny any and all uses of the Adox Research content.
